About the Organization

American Kyokushin Karate Organization

The American Kyokushin Karate Organization was formed in 1997 by Hanshi Donald Buck to carry forward the Kyokushin tradition following the passing of Kyokushin Karate founder Sosai Mas Oyama. Its goal is to continue spreading Oyama's Kyokushinkai Karate throughout the world without political entanglement.

Following Hanshi Donald Buck's passing in September 1998, his son Hanshi Frederick S. Buck was confirmed by the council as chairman and president of the organization. The American Kyokushin Karate Organization continues to operate branches across the United States and internationally.
